Drunken Moose Balls

Easter weekend is here and my sister, brother in law and niece are here! We have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen! When Chrissie and I get together, this is no surprise to the people around us. We all love food! Thursday night we enjoyed a "Wild Game Night" Moose, Deer and Elk were the games meats at the table. It was so great to try some different recipes and some favorites as well. Here is one Chrissie put together for our ground moose meat!


Drunken Moose Balls

2 lbs ground moose
1tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 Tbsp ground flax

Mix together and roll into 1" balls. Pan fry until browned evenly and transfer to small crock pot.



In a medium bowl, whisky together:

1 bottle of Kraft Hickory BBQ Sauce
2" knob of fresh ginger, grated
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2/3 cup dark Rum (or Whiskey. You're choice!)
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp garlic powder

- Fill BBQ sauce bottle half full with water. Shake and pour water into sauce. Whisk.

- Pour sauce over Moose Balls and turn crock pot on low for 6 to 8 hours.

- Serve with Rice and your favorite stir fry vegetable!
