Sweet French Toast

This mornings weather called for a sweet and warm breakfast. This is a simple recipe that is best made with day-old French or Italian bread and REAL Maple Syrup. You could definitely use whatever bread and pancake syrup you have on hand though, so don't stress too much about it!

3-5 thick slices of bread of your choice (depending on how many people you are making it for)
In a bowl:
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp Maple syrup

Whisk together and heat up a large frying pan. Add a dab of butter, or spray with cooking spray. Your choice.

Soak your bread slices in egg mixture, turning over and over until bread has soaked up enough of that yummy egg mixture. Don't want it too wet, otherwise it will burn before it's cooked through.

Place in hot pan and turn on low. Be patient. Wait till you see golden brown around the bottom edges, then flip.
Cook through and serve it up with your favorite toppings!
I choose Coconut Real Whipped Cream, AWESOME stuff. A sliced banana and some of my homemade snack mix which is toasted almonds, cashews and coconut chips. Top with more Maple Syrup!
Ta daaaaa!

This is perfect for those mornings you feel like some self love.
Enjoy!

I sure did!!

Happy Cooking!
