Cruising the Caribbean!

Hello!

My husband and I just arrived home from a 9 night Royal Caribbean Cruise on the Navigator of the Seas. We had such a lovely time so I thought I'd share some of the lovely places we visited!

We arrived the day before our cruise in Miami! We had checked out Trip Advisor and found this awesome Peruvian restaurant, Pollos & Jarras located at 115 N.E. 3rd Avenue! It's amazingly simple, yet so great! The drinks were top notch and the staff, incredible! Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area and looking for something a little different!

This drink above is a take on the classic Mojito, but made with Pisco, a Peruvian Brandy.

The next day we set sail on the the beautiful Navigator of the Seas and spent the day at sea!

The Navigator of the Seas docked at Labadee, Haiti

Labadee, Haiti

Darryl and I really enjoy Labadee. It is a private Island owned by Royal Caribbean. It has a beautiful beach. We love this port day to relax under the Palm Trees and swim in the clear Caribbean water!

Green Apple Martini

Coconut Mojito

Our second Port of Call, Curacao. We opted for a bus tour. One of stops was this beautiful garden owned by Dinah Hveeris.

Dinah's son was a tour guide. It was so interesting to hear about the plants and their uses!

Next up, a trip to the Original Curacao Liqueur  plant! Home of the REAL Blue Curacao

Alto Vista Chapel

Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel also known as "Pilgrims Church" that stands on the hills above the north shore of the sea and to the northeast of the town known as Noord, on the island of Aruba, 27 km north of the coast of Venezuela.

California Light House
California Lighthouse was named for the steamship California, which was wrecked nearby on September 23, 1891. This lighthouse is located at Hudishibana near Arashi Beach on the northwest tip of Aruba.

Back on board, it's time for some Mexcian cusine! Sabor is a lovely speciality restaurant. I'm not even sure if it's because of the tasty Tequila's or the wonderful server!

Tequila Flight

Sopa de Tortilla: Chicken, corn tortilla soup, black beans, tomatoes, toasted cumin

Beautiful Bonaire, oh how I love thee!! This Island, I will be visiting again for sure. Possibly as a week long vacation.

Walking the streets, Darryl and I stumbled upon Jan Art Gallery. Janice Huckaby Baillie is a Texas native who now lives in and paints Bonaire!

Time to eat!
La Crêperie is a sweet little shop on the water. Tasty savory and sweet treats in a beautiful cafe style shop!

Until next time......

Salmon Salad

Appetizers at Giovanni's Table

My favorite thing at this Italian Style restaurant on board the ship was the Carpaccio! Oh yes!

Okay, lunch at Sabor on our last day at Sea was a must. The excellent service and yummy table side Guacamole helped get us back in the door here. I recommend trying this restaurant if you happen to see one on board of a Royal Caribbean ship.

All in all, the beautiful weather, fantastic service and yummy food, made this vacation a memorable one! Oh yes, and the AWESOME people we met! How many days till my next one??!!!

Moscow Mule
Scallops with Cauliflower Puree and Crispy Chorizo Crumb
